Beijing Subway (北京地铁)

The Beijing Metro is the rapid transit system of Beijing Municipality consisting of 22 rapid transit lines, two airport rail links, one maglev line and 2 light rail lines, and 27 lines including 478 stations. The Beijing Subway opened in 1971 and is the oldest subway system in mainland China and East Asia. There are two to fifteen ticket vending machines at each station. Ticket vending machines on all lines can add credit to the Yikatong Card.
