Shanghai Metro (上海轨道交通)
The Shanghai Metro is a rapid transit system in Shanghai, which operates urban and suburban transit services in 14 of its 16 municipal districts. The Shanghai Metro, considered one of the world's most extensive and efficient urban transit systems, began operations on May 28, 1993. The Shanghai Metro system is the world's largest metro system by route length, with a total length of 826 kilometers (513 mi). With 505 stations on 19 lines, it is the second largest in terms of number of stations.
