Launched by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) as part of the Phase 4 expansion of the Delhi Metro, this 24 km rapid transit line aims to connect South Delhi directly with the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Recently DMRC had announced the adoption of new color coding and golden coding for this route. Because initially specified as silver color, the change was to avoid confusion and improve visibility for riders as the silver merged with the stainless steel exterior of the trains.

Recently Delhi Metro had set up an interactive museum exhibition to give passengers the experience of tourist train 'driving'. The exhibits were unveiled on Wednesday at the Shivaji Stadium metro station in the presence of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Managing Director Vikas Kumar. The simulator consists of a screen and a joystick, and visitors can get an immersive experience of 'sitting in the train pilot's seat' by pulling a lever, the action is translated to a screen that contains simulated scenes.

The Mahalakshmi scheme launched by the state government has had a visible impact on the ridership of the Hyderabad Metro, according to P. Ramakrishnan, head investor relations at Larsen & Toubro Ltd. during its financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2023. Despite the overall improvement in average metro ridership from 3.94 lakh passengers per day in Q3 last year to 4.44 lakh passengers per day in Q3FY24, Ramakrishnan revealed that the average ridership in the previous quarter of the current year was 4.62 lakh passengers per day. DMRC According to (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation), the DPR (detailed project document) of the Kochi Metro extended metro project is in the final stages of preparation. Sources in Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL), in-charge of the project, said 95 per cent of the DPR work has been completed. There will be a meeting of DMRC and KMRL officials on Friday to decide the next step. KMRL said that there will be discussion related to the project before submission.

New Garia-Airport Metro Corridor (Via Rajarhat) in Kolkata Metro was increased by 50 percent in the general budget. Kolkata Metro Railway Corporation Limited (KMRCL) is also getting less money. New Garia-Airport Metro Corridor (via Rajarhat): An amount of Rs 1,200 crore was allocated in the 2023-24 budget for construction. Which has been increased to Taka 1,750 crore. And Rs 1,791.39 crore has been allocated in the budget for the financial year 2024-25 for the New Garia-Airport Metro Corridor.
