Line 16 Overview
Construction of Line 16 began in March 2010, and the initial section between Luoshan Road and Dishui Lake opened on December 29, 2013. The northern extension from Luoshan Road to Longyang Road opened on December 28, 2014. The line runs between Longyang Road and Dishui Lake. It is 58.96 kilometers long and has 13 stations. It is the only line of the Shanghai Metro that offers local, rapid, and express services. Major interchange stations on the line include Longyang Road, Middle Huaxia Road, and Luoshan Road.
