Line 1 (Batong) Overview
The first phase of Beijing Metro Line 1 opened on January 15, 1971, between Pingguoyuan and Beijing Railway Station. The line was extended eastward to Sihui in stages and later connected to the Batong Line. It is approximately 31.0 km long, with 23 stations. This line is one of the oldest and busiest routes in the Beijing Metro system.
