Line 16 Overview
Line 16, inaugurated on 28 December 2022, runs from Universiade to Tianxin in Pingshan District. The line was constructed in several phases, with the initial section being part of Shenzhen's eastern metro extension. The first phase was 29.2 km long and had 24 stations, with subsequent extensions increasing its total length to approximately 38.6 km and 32 stations. It connects with Line 3 at Shuanglong and Line 14 at Pingshanwei, improving connectivity to central Shenzhen.
