Line ML2 was inaugurated on July 27, 2007, and was constructed to connect western Madrid with the municipality of Pozuelo de Alarcón. The line runs between Colonia Jardín and Estación de Aravaca, covering a length of 8.7 kilometers and serving 13 stations. It also provides transfers to Madrid Metro Line 10 at Colonia Jardín station and to Cercanías Madrid services at Aravaca station.
