M5 Line Overview
The first phase of the M5 line opened on December 15, 2017, between Üsküdar and Yamanevler, followed by extensions to Çekmeköy in 2018 and to Samandıra Merkez in 2024. The line is 26.5 kilometers long and has 20 stations. Also known as the Üsküdar-Samandıra Merkez line, it connects key districts like Ümraniye, Çekmeköy, and Sancaktepe to central Istanbul. This line also provides interchange with the Marmaray, M4, and several other metro and transport lines.
