U9 Line Overview
U9 line is a proposed metro line that has not yet been constructed. It aims to improve north-south connectivity in Hamburg, connecting western areas like Osdorfer Born with eastern and northern districts like Bramfeld or Steilhoop. The main objective of the U9 project is to relieve pressure on existing lines like the U1, U2, and U3 and to provide faster travel within the city without passing through Hamburg Hauptbahnhof. It is expected to include several interchange stations with existing U-Bahn and S-Bahn lines. It is currently in the planning stage and is part of long-term expansion plans.
