U8 Line Overview
The U8 line is a booster line that opened in December 2013. This line begins at Olympiazentrum and shares tracks with the U3 until Scheideplatz, where it continues along the U2 tracks to the Innsbruck Ring and ends at Neuperlach Zentrum. It operates only on Saturdays to reduce congestion on the U2 and U3 lines and provide easier access to the Olympic Park from Munich Central Station.
