Kita-senju is a major interchange station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya and Chiyoda lines, with the Hibiya Line section elevated and the Chiyoda Line section underground. The Hibiya Line began service on May 31, 1962, and the Chiyoda Line on December 20, 1969. Connections are also available between JR East, Tobu Railway, and Tsukuba Express.
