Line 5 Overview
Line 5 is the first loop line of the Zhengzhou Metro system, measuring 40.4 kilometers in length and consisting of 32 stations. It primarily runs under Huanghe Road, Shangwu Outer Ring Road, Xinyi Road, Honghai Road, Tongbai Road, and Xizhan Road, forming a loop around the city center. Line 5 was inaugurated on May 20, 2019. An additional station, Jingbeierlu Station, was inaugurated on May 15, 2021. It is also the first metro line in Zhengzhou to use Type A metro trains, which were manufactured by CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive.
