Tōzai Line Overview
The first phase of the Tozai Line opened for public service in 1964 between Takadanobaba and Kudanshita, and was later extended in phases starting in 1969. Today, the line is 30.8 kilometers long and has 23 stations, running from Nakano Station to Nishi-Funabashi Station. Otemachi Station and Nihonbashi Station are major interchange stations on the line, providing connections to other subway and railway routes.
