Line 8 Overview
Line 8 was inaugurated on 28 December 2021. Its first operational section was between Lushuidao and Xianshuiguxi. Originally planned as part of the second phase of Line 6, it was later renamed Line 8. The route is currently 13.4 kilometers long and has nine stations. It is notable for being Tianjin's first fully automated, driverless metro line, using GoA4 trains. It also provides interchange with other lines, including Line 1, Line 3, Line 5, Line 6, and the future Line 7.
