Line 6 Overview
Chongqing Rail Transit Line 6 was inaugurated on September 28, 2012. The main line runs between Chaoyuan and Beibei. Its length is approximately 92.1 kilometers and it operates as a heavy rail rapid transit line, connecting the Nan'an, Yuzhong, Jiangbei, and Yubei districts. The line opened in several phases, beginning with the Wulidian-Kangzhuang section in 2012, followed by extensions including Lijia-Beibei in 2013 and Chaoyuan-Wulidian in 2014. The International Expo branch opened in 2020. It is an important northwest-southeast connectivity corridor, with interchange connections to Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, and other major hubs.
