Line 5 Overview
Line 5 was inaugurated in 1906 and runs between Bobigny-Pablo Picasso in the north-east of Paris and Place d'Italie in the south. The line is 14.6 kilometres long, has 22 stations, and runs mostly in an east-west direction. It crosses the Seine River on the Austerlitz Viaduct and connects several important railway stations, such as Gare du Nord, Gare de l'Est, and Gare d'Austerlitz.
