Urumqi Metro (乌鲁木齐地铁)
The Urumqi Metro is a rapid transit system operating in Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region in China. The Urumqi Metro opened in 2018, with the inaugural phase, Line 1, covering a distance of approximately 22.7 kilometres, connecting Urumqi Diwopu International Airport to Santunbei and consisting of 21 strategically placed stations. Among these, Urumqi Diwopu International Airport Station stands out as an important point, providing convenient connectivity for air passengers. Urumqi Metro has submitted plans for two lines, Line 1 and Line 2, with an estimated cost of 31.24 billion yuan.
