Sendai Subway (仙台市地下鉄 (Sendai-shi Chikatetsu))

The Sendai Subway, which began operations on July 15, 1987, is a two-line rapid transit network that plays an important role in connecting major areas of the city. The network consists of the Tozai Line (East-West Line) and the Nanboku Line (North-South Line), providing residents and visitors with convenient access to various districts. The Tozai Line extends approximately 14 kilometers from Yagiyama Zoological Park in the west to Arai, while the Nanboku Line extends approximately 16 kilometers from Izumi-Chūō in the south to Tomizawa in the north.
