Samara Metro (Самарский метрополитен)
The Samara Metro, formerly known as the Kuibyshev Metro, is a rapid transit system serving the city of Samara, Russia. Opened in 1987, it has one line with ten stations and approximately 12.7 kilometers of bi-directional track. The system is managed by Samarsky Metropolitan, a municipal company privatized by the Russian government in the 90s. The Samara Metro transports 44,000 passengers daily.
