Salvador Metro (Metrô de Salvador, Metrô Bahia)

The Salvador Metro, known as "Metro de Salvador", began operations on June 11, 2014, signaling a significant advancement in the public transportation infrastructure of Salvador, the capital of the state of Bahia. The current system is 34 km (21 mi) long and has twenty stations. The system also covers Lauro de Freitas city centre. It is operated by the CCR Metro Bahia company. Over time, the metro system has expanded, aiming to provide a reliable and efficient means of transportation for Salvadorans.
