Manila Metro Rail Transit ()

The Manila Metro Rail Transit System (MRTS), commonly known as MRT, is a rapid transit system that primarily serves Metro Manila, Philippines. Since beginning operations on December 15, 1999, the MRT has become an integral part of commuters' daily lives in the bustling capital of the Philippines. The MRT system currently consists of two lines – MRT Line 3 and MRT Line 7. The MRT has 1 line and 13 stations (in operation) along its 16.9 km route. The first and only line currently in operation, MRT Line 3 is jointly operated through a build-lease-transfer agreement between Metro Rail Transit Corporation, a privately owned company, and the Department of Transportation (DOTr). As an urban mobility hub, the MRT contributes to the overall efficiency and accessibility of Metro Manila, connecting residents to educational institutions, commercial centers, and various amenities.
