The Jakarta MRT is a rapid transit system in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. The system is operated by PT Mass Rapid Transit Jakarta (Perseroda), the municipally owned Perseroda Terbetas of the City of Jakarta. Phase 1 of the project was officially opened on 24 March 2019. Jakarta MRT boasts two major lines that run through the city's complex landscape. The north-south line extends from Lebak Bulus to Bundaran HI, while the east-west line connects Bekasi Timur to Balaraja. This complex web of connectivity covers approximately 108 kilometres, seamlessly integrating vital areas including business districts, residential areas and major transport hubs. A total of 13 stations on the North-South Line and 7 stations on the East-West Line serve as gateways for the convenience of countless passengers. These stations are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including air-conditioned platforms, Wi-Fi connectivity and provisions for disabled passengers, ensuring a comfortable and inclusive travel experience.
