Isfahan Metro (Isfahan Urban and Suburban Railway)
The Isfahan Metro is a rapid transit system that serves the city of Isfahan, Iran. The first phase of the Isfahan Metro, Line 1, became operational in October 2015. The development of the Isfahan Metro involved a combination of domestic and international expertise, including cooperation between Iranian construction companies and foreign entities contributing to the implementation of modern metro infrastructure. The project aims not only to provide a convenient and efficient mode of transportation for the residents of Isfahan, but also to reduce the environmental impact of the increasing vehicle traffic in the city.
