Catania Metro ()
The Catania Metro is a rapid transit system serving the coastal city of Catania, Sicily, southern Italy. One of Italy's seven metro systems, it is the only one in Sicily and the southernmost system in Europe. Inaugurated on 27 June 1999, the metro system serves as a modern solution to the increasing demands of passengers in Catania. Operating along a single line, Line A, the metro efficiently connects key areas of the city, providing fast and convenient travel for residents and visitors. Marked by contemporary architectural designs, Catania's metro stations not only serve as functional transit hubs but also contribute to the city's urban aesthetics.
