The Dhaka Metro Rail, officially known as the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system, is Bangladesh's first modern rapid transit network serving the capital city of Dhaka. It connects Uttara North with Motijheel across approximately 20.1 km and 16 stations. The elevated line began passenger service in December 2022, significantly improving north-south connectivity.
