Sydney Metro ()

The Sydney Metro, an icon of modern urban transport in Australia, has transformed the way Sydney-siders commute in the city since its opening on May 26, 2019. It currently has 13 stations and 36 km (22.4 mi) of twin track, most of which is underground. The trolley system, which includes Sydney Metro Northwest and Sydney Metro City and Southwest, connects diverse neighbourhoods, business districts and major centres. Two additional lines are also under construction as part of the Sydney Metro West and Western Sydney Airport projects. The Western Sydney Airport project will build a line of approximately 23 km (14.3 mi) from St Marys to the new Aerotropolis station at Badgerys Creek. It will consist of six stations and upon its opening in 2026 will serve Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport, which is currently under construction.
